Stage 19

Friday 26 th September:
stage 19 : La Vega de Alcobendas - Collado Villalba 166 kms

The Sierra of Madrid has always been of mythological importance in the world of cycling, and particularly in The Vuelta.
This stage can be consider as a preparation fo the victory, the last struggle 48 hours before the finish in Madrid, with the steep and 1500m climb likely to shake up the standings.
The good downill specialists will have a chance to make up time on the climbers in front in the 20km final descent.
This is an authentic mountain stage with two firts category climbs and two third category.
The last mountain pass 20km from the end will be the most difficult of the day with very steep gradients nera the end.
Let the joy begin!
